Environmental Protection
Environmental protection is the practice of protecting the natural environment by individuals, organizations and governments. Its objectives are to conserve natural resources and the existing natural environment and, where possible, to repair damage and reverse trends.
We fully understand that we humans face a lot of challenges in protecting our environment. All of us are dependent on our biosphere. That means the well-being of all the species living on this earth is our responsibility. The biosphere refers to one ecological system in which all living things are independent for its betterment. We need to protect the habitat and the process is known as Habitat Protection. Habitat Protection is a management practice that seeks to conserve, protect and restore habitat areas for wildlife animals and plants, especially conservation reliant species, and prevent their extinction, fragmentation and reducing its range.
For this we need to: –
- Focus on protection of umbrella species such as White Tiger, Elephant, etc,.
- Increase the tree cover and save our forests.
- Work with the forest dependent communities living near protected areas to consider alternate livelihood and work on resource management reserved with conservation.
- Focus on 3R’s i.e., Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
